It’s always good when you watch a movie and it turns out to be better than you expected. It doesn’t happen very often but I love when it does, it leaves me a good feeling inside.
I just finished watching Mamma Mia! and I really enjoyed it.
I don’t normally like musicals (and I’m not a big fan of romantic movies either), but I think this one is really well done and when actors suddenly start singing and dancing it doesn’t feel THAT weird after all…  the songs are actually keeping the story together, and the choreographies are just hilarious.  I think most of the credit goes to the ABBA songs that simply make this movie a colourful, enjoyable and passionate hymn to life.
Basically impossible not to be taken by the rhythm.
If you’d watched it and during the whole movie you’ve never tapped your foot, or shaken your head or sung a few lines… well, then you’ve got a problem!! ; )

P.S. Thanks again Ilda for suggesting to watch that tonight.. with this crap weather, the “recession atmosphere” and all that I really needed something to cheer me up! : )
